Applications of Surfactants in Different Industries

Textile Chemicals
In the textile industry, the core value of surfactants lies in solving three key problems: "cleaning impurities, uniform dyeing, and functional modification", which adapts to the processing characteristics of different fabrics such as cotton, chemical fibers, and wool.
Industrial Additives
Industrial additives cover fields such as coatings, metal processing, plastics, and pesticides. Surfactants are mainly used for "dispersion, lubrication, antistatic, and emulsification" to solve stability problems during production/use.
Daily Chemicals
Daily chemicals are the field where surfactants are closest to daily life, covering detergents, personal care products, and cosmetics. They need to balance "decontamination power" and "safety" (low irritation, environmental protection).
Disinfection And Sterilization
The sterilization effect of surfactants mainly depends on cationic (mainly quaternary ammonium salts) and amphoteric surfactants, which achieve sterilization by destroying microbial cell membranes. They are widely used in the disinfection of skin and mucous membranes, the environment, and medical devices.
Oilfield Chemicals
In oilfield development, surfactants need to cope with harsh environments such as high temperature (80-150℃), high pressure (10-30MPa), and high salinity (mineralization > 100,000 mg/L). Their core functions are "stabilizing the system, improving oil recovery, and preventing blockage and wax deposition".
